Hyundai Kona for Orion EV Experience
<p>Thank you very much for arranging the Kona EV. I really enjoyed the week driving the car. I was surprised as to how well it performed. Given that we had just installed EB charging stations at the Thermal pools it was a pretty simple experience for me. <p>I drove the Hyundai Kona EV for a week as part of the Orion EV Experience. I commuted from New Brighton to Rolleston and back each day and the Kona EV handled the week without needing to be charged which was a big tick for convenience. I was blown away at the acceleration this vehicle had and it was easily one of the most responsive vehicles I’ve driven. On the open road at 100km it didn’t feel out of place with plenty of power when you needed it. It had all the mod cons you would expect from a new vehicle and was incredibly quiet. Definitely worth trying out if you’re in the market for a new vehicle. </p> <p><em>William Eckford, Synargy</em></p>

<p>Thank you so much for the loan of your Kona for the week. We had approximately 10 employees of Argus either take the car overnight, or test drive during the day. I added my Leaf to the experience as well so that people could compare. All were impressed and sold on EV's. A great way to raise EV awareness.</p>

<p>Great feedback from the team, most had not had the experience of driving an EV before and were pleasantly surprised at how well it drives, the distance range and overall comfort.</p>
<p>As you can see I’m enjoying my EV experience after a nervous settling in period. My colleagues and I are amazed about the responsiveness of the vehicle and stunned by how quiet it is. Anyway I’m off to deliver . . . something/anything really to someone, I just like driving the car.</p>
<p>Thanks very much for the opportunity to trial the Kona this week, what an amazing vehicle! I took it up to Hanmer as part of my call cycle and it was a dream to drive. As an organisation heavily focused on sustainability, Trade Aid is now investigating how we can incorporate an EV into our fleet given that the range is comparable to that of a traditional petrol engine. The big bonus is that it allows transport without climate-change accelerating fossil-fuel emissions. A big thanks to Orion for letting us trial the Hyundai Kona. We look forward to a greener future thanks to greater adoption of Electric Vehicles in New Zealand.</p>

<p>This week the Christchurch team had the use of an electric vehicle courtesy of Orion. As well as being economic to run and enjoyable to drive there are some tax considerations.</p>
<p>All the Anglican Diocese staff, including our CEO/Chairman of the Board, Bishop Peter, have really enjoyed driving the vehicle without exception.</p>
<p>Big thanks for letting us trial the Orion EV this week. Everyone who got behind the wheel loved it and it certainly became the topic of conversation in the office. It was a real treat and we thoroughly enjoyed it.</p>
